Larry J's BBQ Cafe: Authentic BBQ Delights in Boston's Seaport

Finally, a great BBQ place in Boston. Guessing the owner is Texan (like me), possibly Austin/Round Rock area. Also compares favorably with Gates BBQ in Kansas City, esp the sausage and burnt ends. Either way, will definitely be eating from here again!

Ive been to all 50 states, tried BBQ many times in all of them. This is the best I have ever had. Hands down. No debate. Very sweet lady at the window hustling her tail feathers off. No ones thinking "Boston huh? Better try the BBQ here...." but damn! It is amazing

I had a fantastic experience with Larry’s BBQ Café who I used for my office catering order—the service was excellent, and everything arrived on time. The food was delicious, with perfectly smoked meats and flavorful sides that everyone enjoyed. Larry’s delivered on both quality and professionalism. Highly recommend!

I got wings with fries & candied yams and it was ok for a lunch meal. Improvements needed on the grumpy , dry, rough customer service that I received from staff at the order window. I had more who asked me for a location to eat at but I could not recommend the place because the friendly service was not present. Let someone else work if you can't be kind to customers please and thank you.

Got the burnt ends with Mac and fries. Burnt ends had good texture and great smokey flavor. Got a side of spicy bbq sauce which went together perfectly. The Mac and cheese was perfect. This was my first time here and I’m going back tomorrow to try something new.

Got the combo #2 had to try little bit of everything. Great portion size for the cost Chicken wings were absolutely outstanding. Super crispy with a good seasoning so much juice where the juice and season mixed basically creating its own sauce. Brisket was on pointnsuper tasty and moist Pulled pork was great as well but I'm not a fan of vinegar based sauces as much but was still super tasty. Mac and cheese hit the spot as usual. Beans were good just not my style however they were full of flavor! The owner was super nice and very professional. Will definitely recommend and return there again

This was absolutely delicious! I ordered the smoked brisket platter with Jamaican jerk sauce on the side, along with bbq spaghetti & collard greens. Portions were generous, food had great flavor and the brisket was tender & juicy. This place is right across the street from the Renaissance hotel, so it was about a 2 minute walk. Customer service was great & they had my order ready within 10 mins. If you're ever in town, I highly recommend trying this gem!

Placed online order midafternoon, given reasonable pick up time and order was ready when I arrived. Ordered 1/2 wings with jerk on the side, wings tasted good and size of wings was on par with other establishments. Also had pulled pork sandwich with no sauce, food was nothing spectacular but of sufficient quantity and quality to earn 4 stars.
